THERAPY & SUPERVISION

Dance/Movement Therapy, Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy

Lauren’s prior clinical experience providing alternative therapies to a diverse array of individuals seeking care at inpatient psychiatric hospitals has fueled her advocacy efforts towards subverting oppressive tactics of the medical-industrial complex. While serving Veterans with post-traumatic stress during her clinical internship at Jesse Brown VAMC, Lauren gained experience offering trauma-informed dance/movement therapy, engaging creative process in performance as therapy, and developing interdisciplinary community reintegration options.

Lauren also served survivors of sexual violence, providing free and accessible services within the nonprofit industrial complex. In sessions with survivors, Lauren engages responsive witnessing to hold space for body liberation—resourcing soma sanctuary, untangling harmful internalized patterns, and harnessing embodied courage to breathe meaning into movement making. Lauren participated on the direct care staff and survivor-led Transformative Justice/Restorative Justice committee and supported efforts to maintain collective care to combat burnout as well as develop organizational accountability processes.

Lauren has experience creating community-based programming through grant funding Lauren provided creative and mindfulness-based activities for recently arrived refugee and immigrant youth to encourage self-esteem and welcome a sense of belonging.

Lauren is currently providing ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and supporting exploration of extra-ordinary states of consciousness for the purpose of healing and catalyzing change in the therapy process.

Lauren provides supervision for students and developing clinicians across disciplines. They will encourage self-awareness through body-based methods of inquiry and promote heart-centered ethical decision-making. Please reach out for more information on sliding scale and trade options!
